Grandma & Grandpa Erskine Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Erskine met Guthrie in late February.

Like many of the early weeks, most of our time was spent just staring at him. Grandma and Grandpa did babysit for a few brief hours, giving Missi and I a chance to grab a drink and catch our breath.

random moments

We went to visit the Arnolds. Lindsey and I due a week apart and we both went late. We also did our intense 3 month birthing class together. Meet little Ellie Grace.

For whatever reason, I find this picture a bit disgusting.

Our friend Lydia delivered a yummy dinner and this cute little outfit.

Guthrie's first Valentines day

We went to our local coffee shop for breakfast. Guthrie got a lot of attention.

First week

I love his stretches AND this little hoodie.

Guthrie trying out his swing. We read in one of our baby books that for 'maximum effectiveness when using your swing' you are to use 'the highest setting.' This resulted in a very slouched and contorted Guthrie.

For Mom's birthday we took her to a middle eastern Restaurant.

trying out the moby. It only took three people 1/2 hour to put on.

Aunt Janet comes to visit!

This always happens to him! I finally realized that it's a helpful sleeping tool-keeps the room nice and dark.

Guthrie Robert Erskine

Guthrie Robert Erskine
February 6, 2009
8:39pm
7 lbs. 2 oz.

After 18 hours of labor, this was his first cry

Mom stayed with us three weeks. She was SO good to us! It was a long wait for all of us...she made us the most delicious meals and the house was never (and will never) be as clean as when she was visiting. It was so special having her in Denver with us! She's such a proud Grandma and I love that about her!

From the very beginning Guthrie was Bobby's "mini-me."

His 'going home outfit'

When we got home we had a Birthday party for him. Mom made cupcakes.

when everyone left, I cried because I couldn't believe how loved he was.
